Fun in the School Holidays for the Children

November 22nd, 2011

We cordially invite all parents, children, grandparents and caregivers to come and join us during the school holidays for our Nia freeform movement to music and Tai Chi classes. Combine this experience with a smoothie and/or a coffee in our cafe and maybe stay for lunch. This is a fun thing to do and we encourage you to join us in the school holidays. Children must be supervised by an adult. The first class for Tai Chi or Nia is for free.

October Newsletter

October 12th, 2011

Spring has arrived, the gardens at Swan Lake look awesome and the roses are due to bloom. We have entered the spring garden competitions and our gardens have been recently judged by the Canterbury Horticultural Society and Christchurch Beautifying Association and we await the results. We are continuing to fertilise our lawns to promote good spring growth and keep them green. We recommend you do the same. The process should be that you mow your lawns first, then fertilise them prior to a rain. Make sure that you do not spread it on too thick which may cause your lawn to have burnt spots in it. Also make sure that you keep an eye on your roses for pests and nasties and take the appropriate action when necessary. You have to keep an eye on your roses on a weekly basis to get the best out of them.

We recommend you take the time to come and visit, sit in our garden and take time to smell the roses and see the fantastic display of our colourful rhododendrons. Our gardens are available for weddings, photo shoots, guided garden tours with commentary. Please call us to discuss your needs.
